Fred Hollows Foundation
In Pakistan, hundreds of people go blind every day, often from preventable causes like cataract. People in Western countries have ready access to cataract surgery, but in Pakistan most people don’t.
Since 1998, The Fred Hollows Foundation and its partners have halved the rate of blindness to 0.9 per cent. Our aim is to build up Pakistan’s existing health systems so that we can bring quality eye care services to every corner of the country.
